This showstopper piece is an 100% hand fabricated piece to make heads turn. Two beautiful fresh water pearls, adorned with amethyst tear drops with beautiful inclusions. Made from recycled 925 Sterling silver, this piece is made to adorn the wearer with something a bit out of the ordinary. Who doesn’t want to have crying skulls hanging off their ears?

Heavily inspired by the great Japanese artist Shinji Nakaba, this piece started out with two fresh water pearls. A global reminder of death is a skull, but for me it symbolises a mystery. Not knowing what kind of a life a person has lived, these earrings give the wearer a chance to make up their own story. The inevitable tear when a life passes is what these drops represent, a life lived fully.
This collection is born out of mourning, a place where I found myself lost for words, but being able to translate sorrow into something physical. Throughout the designing and making process, this collection gave me a way to deal with death.
